Tutorboard › For 11-plus tutors

An online whiteboard for 11-plus tutors

Papers written over, work the parents can actually see, and a link a ten-year-old can open on their own. No account, no app, no setup before the lesson starts.

The short answer

A shared whiteboard and video call for one-to-one 11-plus lessons. Import the paper and work on it together, keep every lesson as pages, and give parents a link that shows what their child has done. £4.99 or £9.99 a month after a 14-day trial; students never pay.

Why it suits this age group

They can open it themselves

A link and a first name. No password to forget, no app to install, no parent needed at the start of every lesson. That matters more at ten than at seventeen.

Parents can see the work

A read-only link lists the lessons and when they happened, free. If a parent wants to open the boards, the homework and the recordings, that is their own £5 subscription, not something you buy or administer.

Papers, not a blank canvas

Verbal and non-verbal reasoning come as papers. Import the PDF and write over it, so the answer sits with the question. See working over a past paper.

Short lessons, kept

Pages group into books by paper or by week, and export as one PDF. A parent paying for a year of lessons can see the year.

Safeguarding and data

Lesson audio used for a report is transcribed on the tutor's own Mac; the audio never leaves it. A share link can be claimed by one account only, so a link forwarded through a family group chat cannot be taken over by somebody else. Solo Bay LTD is registered with the ICO (C2040627), and our privacy policy sets out what is kept.

Questions 11-plus tutors ask

Can a parent sit in?

Yes, and they can watch a lesson live with a parent subscription.

Can I teach two siblings?

Each student is their own space with their own books and links. Base covers 20 students, Premium has no limit.

Do I need an iPad?

No, but a pen of some kind helps for handwriting at this age. A mouse is fine for marking and typing.
