What a parent can see
Your child's tutor uses Tutorboard for their lessons. This page explains what you can see, what it costs, and what is kept about your child.
The short answer
The link your tutor sends shows which lessons happened and when, free and for as long as the tutor keeps your child on their list. A £5 a month subscription, bought by you rather than by the tutor, opens the lessons themselves: watching one live, the boards your child worked on, the homework they were set, and the recordings where the tutor allows them. One subscription covers every child linked to your account.

You buy it yourself, in a browser or in the app, and you can cancel it yourself at any time. Your tutor is not involved and does not pay for it.
What is stored about your child
- Their first name, or whatever name the tutor uses for them.
- The whiteboards from their lessons, and any homework set.
- Recordings, only where the tutor made them.
- If they made an account: an email address and a password, held by Google Firebase.
Lesson audio used to draft a report is transcribed on the tutor's own computer and the audio never leaves it. Solo Bay LTD is registered with the ICO under C2040627. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
If something is wrong
Ask the tutor first: the lessons are theirs and they can delete any of it. If you would rather come to us, email hello@tutorboard.tech and say which child and which tutor, and we will deal with it.
Questions parents ask
Does my child need an account?
No. They open the tutor's link and they are in the lesson.
Can I watch without my child knowing?
No. When a parent joins a lesson, everyone in it can see that they have.
Is the lesson recorded automatically?
No. The tutor chooses, lesson by lesson.
What happens if I cancel?
You go back to seeing which lessons happened and when. Nothing is deleted.
