Tutorboard › For agencies
A tutoring agency whiteboard, priced per tutor
Ten tutors or a hundred, one invoice, and a student roll that can grow without the bill moving. Tutors get the full Premium plan; students and their work stay with the agency, not with whoever happened to teach them.
The short answer
£7.49 per tutor a month from ten tutors, £6.99 from twenty, a further 15% off paid yearly. Nothing is counted per student, per lesson, per page or per gigabyte. A tutor leaving hands their students over in one screen.
Why per tutor, and when that is the wrong answer for you
Most tools in this market price by student. We price by tutor, and which is cheaper depends entirely on the shape of your agency.
| Your shape | Priced per student, elsewhere | Tutorboard, per tutor |
|---|---|---|
| 15 tutors, around 180 students | About £179 a month | About £112 a month |
| 10 tutors, around 40 students | About £39 a month | About £75 a month |
So: if your tutors carry full timetables, per tutor is markedly cheaper and stays still while you grow. If you have a lot of tutors with only a handful of students each, a per-student tool will be cheaper, and we would rather you knew that from us than worked it out after signing. Figures are the published prices of a comparable UK tool at the time of writing; check them yourself before you decide.
What the agency keeps
The students are yours
Students, boards, books, recordings and homework belong to the agency account, not to the tutor's personal one. A tutor leaving does not take a term of work with them.
A handover that takes a minute
Move a student from one tutor to another and their whole history moves with them, so the new tutor opens the lesson already knowing what was covered.
One bill
One invoice for the team rather than a dozen personal cards, with a purchase order where your finance team needs one. Add a tutor mid-term and it is prorated; drop one and it comes off the next invoice.
What your tutors get
The full Premium plan, not a cut-down version: the shared whiteboard, video, the real exam calculators, past-paper import, homework, recordings, and lesson reports written from the lesson. They can teach from any browser, including a locked-down school laptop, and their students never install anything — including from inside a school network that blocks the usual connection.
It also means the school-network handling is included for every tutor. Agencies feel that more than individual tutors do, because across twenty timetables somebody is always behind a school firewall.
Running the business as well
If you want the back office too — enrolments, invoicing families, paying tutors, the ledger — that is a separate product, Tutorboard for Agencies, priced on what you bill rather than per tutor. Plenty of agencies want the whiteboard and nothing else, which is why the two are not bundled. Ask and we will tell you honestly which one you need, including when the answer is only the cheaper one.
Questions agencies ask
Are coordinators and admin staff charged?
No. You are charged for people who teach. An owner or coordinator who does not run lessons is not a tutor for billing.
Is there a limit on students?
No. That is the point of pricing per tutor.
Is anything metered at all?
Storage, pages, books, recordings and exports are not metered. Relayed video on blocked networks carries a real cost to us, so the terms have a fair-use clause rather than the word "unlimited" with nothing behind it. No agency teaching ordinary timetables has come near it.
Can we trial it as a team?
Yes. Fourteen days, every feature, however many tutors you want to put on it.
What happens to the work if we leave?
Export every student's books as PDFs before you go, and they are yours to keep. We do not hold your lessons hostage.
