Getting into your lesson

Your tutor sent you a link. Open it, type your name, and you are in. There is nothing to install and nothing to pay, ever.

In six lines

• Open the link your tutor sent.
• Type your first name.
• Allow the microphone when the browser asks, so your tutor can hear you.
• Wait a moment; your tutor lets you in.
• Write on the board with your finger, a pencil or a mouse.
• That is it.

Works on an iPad, a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone, in any normal browser.

If you only have a code

Go to the join page and type the six characters your tutor gave you.

If the link opened inside another app

Links tapped inside Instagram, WhatsApp or Gmail sometimes open in a little browser inside that app, which can block the microphone. If the board loads but nothing works properly, tap the three dots and choose Open in Safari or Open in Chrome.

Keeping your work

You do not need an account to join a lesson. If you want your boards and homework kept so you can look at them between lessons, make one: it is free, and it is the same email and password every time.

Common problems

My tutor cannot hear me

The microphone is probably blocked. Tap the padlock or the camera icon next to the address bar and allow the microphone, then reload.

The board is not moving

If you are on school wifi, tell your tutor: there is a setting that fixes exactly that, and this page explains it if they have not hit it before. Otherwise reload the page; whatever was written is kept.

I cannot write

Your tutor may have drawing turned off for a moment. Ask them.
